WIP Wednesday - the (almost) wordless one with the terrible pictures

This photo...fails to inspire. Winter. Evening. No light. My sewing/laundry room floor. I promise, this is prettier in real life than it looks.

I don't need to explain what is terrible about this photo, do I?

Linking up with WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.

  1. Thank you for commenting on my Utah quilt. I have to be honest, I had to Google where Lethbridge is. Is it just above Idaho? That is pretty darn cold...is it in C or F? My daughter is serving a mission in Russia right now and the temps have only once or twice been that cold (in F). Here's to warmer days for you and yours!

P.S. I LOVE your fabrics. Can't wait to see your project grow.

  2. All the blog posts today have talked about this cold winter weather, with lots of apologies for dark pictures :) But I bet the colors in this strip on your tile floor look really rich and pretty in the day light.

  3. Sorry Erica, northern Alberta has been sunny and bright!
Cold, yes, but I don't mind so much when the sun shines.
What are you planning for those lovely strips of yummy prints?

  4. At least there's no snow coming. :D The strips look gorgeous on your floor, so I can imagine how wonderful they'll be in warm daylight.

  5. Don't worry too much about the crummy light for pics. So many of us are suffering with the same affliction. Just think of how much better we'll seem as photographers when spring comes! :) I photograph a lot of things on my studio desk under my OttLite. It's not a perfect solution, but it helps. I see Charley Harper and Pearl Bracelet among those strips, so it's gotta be good it real life!

  6. Isn't winter hard to get pics? We had -21 this morning. It's a great reason to stay in and create : )

  7. Just wait until you hear the words "It's only -30" come out of your mouth. :)

Winter is a wonderful excuse to stay indoors and sew!

  8. Spring should arrive sometime around May ? The pictures of finished quilt outdoors in SUN Light should be outstanding .

  9. I thought that we had it bad the other day, searing heat (42 degrees) and we were on bushfire alert. Far too hot to quilt and I often wonder why I make quilts when we rarely get to use them! Then I remember - I just love sewing them. Hope we can both find a happy compromise with our weather, then we can both quilt to our hearts content :)
